film in water? what? anyone could have dropped some film in water or at least maybe by accident. but by doing so, i don't think you and i would have the same purpose as arturo herra does when doing that. a simple picture of dark figures would seem boring to some, but in arturo's eyes, its about making a connection. "life is made up of just connecting things. its not clear why we connect things, but memory and desire have to do with it...." angels, cuts, blades, fragments...pieces of awkward forms that inspire or provoke a feeling or relate something to us. by association. a photograph or image on the wall, whether it be perfect or not, the provoked feeling cause by the image is what is important, not the correct way it was made or the technique or color or anything. art has no boundaries. so let loose and just feel what you see.
